Service is my business . . .
As Mediator, Jim acts as a neutral and facilitator to serve all parties who have found themselves in a legal dispute. Often times, Jim has mediated disputes before formal litigation commenced, such as residential or commercial construction disputes, partner and shareholder disputes, business interruption and dissolutions, employment matters, real estate issues, personal injury considerations, and family divisions. As Mediator Consultant, Jim provides focused attention to people and organizations embroiled and paralyzed by conflict. Jim will facilitate the development of an effective strategy and will participate as a member of a team of involved service providers, such as a board of directors, human resource professionals, advocates or guardians. As Licensed Counselor, Jim has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology (with a Professional Counselor's License) and a Juris Doctor (law) Degree. His professional experience includes authoring an Employee Assistance program and counseling approximately 150 employees, over a four year period, as they tried to deal with life and substance abuse problems affecting them, their families and their jobs. Over the last 40 years he has counseled litigants, mid-level managers, executives, professionals and business owners as they have struggled with balancing life, work and ownership challenges. Over the last 6 years, through facilitative mediation and counseling, he has counseled opposing parties, approximately 600 individuals, helping them resolve disputes without resorting to costly, protracted and destructive litigation. You should also contact your insurance company by calling the number on your insurance card prior to coming to your first appointment. Check on your mental health coverage so that you understand the deductible and copay rates. You will also need to check if you require pre-authorization and whether the therapist you have chosen is covered in network or out of network. The website of your insurance carrier may be an additional resource |
